To My Blogging Friends

To all my blogging friends that have stuck with me over the last year, you've probably noticed that in the last couple of months I've been less candid in my posts and have left less comments, so you might feel like I've forgotten about you!  To the contrary, I sometimes feel guilty for working on my own writing, and feel bad about all the stuff I'm missing.
.

The truth is that I've discovered so many great blogs that its impossible to visit all of them in a single week, and its even harder to make time for a comment unless I have something to say other than "great post!".  I have also been active in Facebook, Twitter and on forums, so a lot of my communication is through those networks since it just saves so much time and requires no captchas, logging in or popups.  Believe it or not, even if I don't leave a comment on your blog, I'm often sharing it on social networks, 'stumbling' it and bookmarking the posts as well.  If any of you guys are on facebook, feel free to drop me a line or visit my Rainforest Garden Facebook page!

While it might seem like I'm making lots of excuses for being self involved, its really more of an apology to those of you who've been such good friends in this blogging adventure.  That being said, here's my excuse for not posting more about my garden:  Its too dark!  My parent's house and the garden are 30-40 minutes away, and when I get there after work its impossible to garden and take photos.  Oh, and gas is expensive too.

Anyways, I might as well share my newest diversion with you at the end of this confession.  To remain ad free and still justify treating this as a full time job, I opened up a storefront where you can buy prints from The Rainforest Garden, as well as shirts, greeting cards, I-Phone cases and more.  I'm even featuring some designs and illustrations, including a tee shirt emblazoned with GARDEN GEEK!  Here's the link to the storefront.  Rainforest Garden Store

And here's one of the photos I've added as a print so far.

I guess I might as well justify spending 30 hours a week on writing/blogging/designing with a small amount of income!

  2. The zazzle website has been frustrating tonight, and I haven't been able to access the page in the last hour either. I have to admit, that photo is my favorite too... so surreal looking!

  3. Best wishes with your new venture! I am thinking about selling some garden creations I have been dreaming of lately, at our greenmarket on Sunday here...I figure, nothing ventured, nothing gained!

  4. Thanks Julie! I don't expect to sell much, but its fun to design the stuff and it sure beats ads. Do you have any ideas for neat tshirts and what not? Good luck with the greenmarket: I'm a regular patron of our artsmarket in Jacksonville and they do pretty well there. Be sure to share some photos of your creations!
