My Sheltie's Inner Thoughts: A Photo Shoot

I was out taking pictures in the garden when Panda, my gardening buddy decided to join me!  Mostly this sheltie is only out to trample and "water" my plants, (he just uprooted my sea bean plant... it seems to be okay for now) but today he was just content to be a good model and patiently pose for me.  He kept looking away and over his shoulder as if he was bashful, but I think he was just distracted.  I get like that too in the garden.

Here's the lovely setting that Panda will be posing in.  These are the plants that survived his indiscriminate and clumsy squashings.

Here he showcases the quintessential confused male model look.  "What is that over there?  What lay in the distance?  Who is taking pictures of me? I'm so confused."  Derek Zoolander would be envious of this dog's talent.

This is Panda's carefree and youthful look... No, actually I think he's just laughing at me.

Now Panda is solemn, deep in his philosophical wanderings.  "If the treat is hiding in the hand of Steve, does it really exist?  And what about that cat that Schroedinger keeps in a box?  I'd better keep barking just to play it safe."

Deep thoughts... with Jack Handey.  "Man...  Time to eat some more grass."

  2. I do't think he's being solemn in that one pic...I think that's his version of 'Blue Steel'. I could understand your overlooking of this, because Panda has no lips.

  6. Panda is too cute. Your plants seem to have been able to take his abuse and still thrive. The garden background looks very full and healthy. Your interpretations of Panda's expressions made me laugh.

  11. I love the environment you are in, those woods and bush. I wonder if Panda goes there, as there seems to be no fence! A lot of things can be photographed in there too. I will still open your other posts. thanks.

  12. You can definitely see the joy you find in gardening through your blogs! Panda is a beautiful Sheltie! Who could ever get angry with him should he "accidentally" dig up or trample something? Really, with that face? Too precious.
