$50 Gift Card Giveaway!

CSN Stores is collaborating with The Rainforest Garden for a $50 gift card giveaway!  You can use it towards LED lighting to light up your garden, cooking utensils, you name it!

All you have to do is leave a comment to this post to enter, and I'll randomly pick the winner on May 31st, Memorial Day.  If you become a follower of my blog or make a link to this site or contest, I will enter you twice!

I'm about to make things a bit more interesting though by introducing a contest of my own, in which you will pick one product from any of CSN's stores that you feel embodies the "Modern Tropical Lifestyle" theme.  This could include pillows with bright modern prints, modern and sleek teak dining sets, oven mitts, or possibly some garden lighting or water features.  Bright, Exuberant and maybe a little retro are all good qualities to look for.
Copy and paste a link to the product in your comment, explain your decision, and I will pick my favorites for a post on "Modern Tropical Living".  My favorite entry will receive a goody like an aechmea "blue cones" offset or a hidden ginger rhizome!

There are lots of stores in which to make your choices, but here are some starters.  cookware.com, allmodern.com, alloutdoordining.com and everyfountain.comHere's a whole list of all the stores.

I'm really excited to give back to you guys after you've supported me so much!  The Rainforest Garden has grown so much in just several months and I have you to thank!

  1. I like baking , i would love to try this muffin pan. Kaiser La Forme Bundt 12 Cup Muffin Pan - 630960. SKU #: KSR1099.

  2. The link is to an outdoor fountain. It's a rather modest three tier fountain that looks like 2 flower pots draining down into a large pot. I have the perfect place to put it too. I would like to spice up the tiki hut garden.

  3. The stores look like everyone could find something to have.

  4. I really like the Combi 2010 Strolee Stroller in mauve.

  5. Oh, I can just see dinner of fresh garden greens stirred through al dente pasta, being served on these very modern (and very lovely)bowls in my tropical garden.

I am actually eligible for a contest for a change as I will be in the US next month!

  6. Well....we have a very narrow drive way which we back into (so that we are able to great traffic 'head-on' when exiting) and we are forever backing onto the neighbors lawn or over my sempervivum. I think these lights: http://www.outdoorlightingandmore.com/Unique-Arts-M29004-UNQ1140.html would certainly assist us!

  7. i love contests, thanks for sharing these...everyone could always use more lights and i need more in my garden

  8. Thanks to those who played! I used an online random number generator, and found Noel to be the winner of the gift card.

As far as my free plant contest goes, it was pretty closely tied between danger garden and african aussie, but I'm going to have to pick danger garden this time for the sleekly designed solar lights, and with african aussie in second place. I feel that these two are the most appropriate for a "modern tropical lifestyle" theme.

Danger Garden, let me know what kind of plant you would prefer! I can send bromeliad pups, chartreuse elephant ear bulbs, maybe a ginger, perhaps if you wait til fall I can send you a blood lily or a pineapple lily bulb when they start to go dormant!

African Aussie, I can't afford to send anything too big but tell me if you think you'll be allowed to leave the country with a brom pup and I'll try to work something out.

Please feel free to share your questions, ideas and suggestions!
